Globalstar PlayStation Trans-Atlantic Crossing QuokkaSailing.com brand immersion designed to promote Globalstar phones and services   Click on thumbnails to view a larger image. In August of 2000, Tom Weaver of the PlayStation crew filed four reports with Quokka using a Globalstar satellite phone. Each report detailed the crew's progress on their third attempt to break the trans-atlantic sailing record. This interactive feature was designed to visually show the route taken by PlayStation and the conditions they experienced. For this project, I was the lead designer responsible to design and implement the interactive interface for the user to learn more about the PlayStation crossing and the versatility of the Globalstar phone. I used DHTML and embedded Real Audio clips of Weaver's reports to enhance the interactivity of this feature. |
